About this ebook

Collects stories from Strange Tales #110-111, 114-141 & Amazing Spider-Man Annual (1964) #2. Stephen Strange is Doctor Strange. But he is no doctor, at least not that kind that would initially come to mind. He is the Master of the Mystic Arts, a sorcerer supreme, a white knight who wields black magic against blacker villains still. Strange is mankind's only hope against the dark other-worldly forces that conspire to destroy the conscious world. Catch the beginning of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's amazing run.

This volume presents its readers with the origin story and early years of the mysterious Doctor Strange. Through these issues, we see the development of the Doctor Strange character and the early development of Stan Lee's writing skills. The stories do tend to be formulaic, but as time goes on, we see the growth of one Marvel Comics' most iconic characters. Illustrator Steve Ditko creatively uses psychedelic swirls of color as a backdrop for Strange's adventures in the worlds of the mystic arts. The combination of Lee's storytelling and Ditko's art gives comic book fans an enjoyable trip into Marvel's past.
