Ratings and reviews

This entry felt nice and campy. The story itself seems to take place between four and five, but it's very subtle about it. It feels like a filler entry, but that'll depend on how much the author calls back to this in later entries. Considering Book 5's ending, my hunch is that this is an entry meant as a pallet cleanser between arcs and that it won't see much mention later. (But I would be gladly surprised if it was.)

I'd say this is the weakest in the series so far. Where the other entries had Murderbot learning how to deal with his situation and his family and growing as a person, this episode is more like "Murderbot does Murderbot stuff for a few hours". The trademark wit and bad attitude are in short supply, and without those Murderbot isn't nearly as interesting. Hopefully this doesn't mean this universe is all used up, because I really loved most of the series and I hope there is more to come.

I was expecting a book about Murderbot and ART working together. Instead it is just another short story. A good story, but not at the price charged. For that amount they should be twice the length at least. Love the stories, but we are being short changed.
