I inadvertently found a couple of her books in a used book store, almost 25 years ago. The Far Pavilions and Shadow of the Moon. Since that time, I have collected all her other works, including her autobiographies. She is a wonderful writer and amazing for the times she wrote in, for some of her subject matter. They are worth your time to read and money to purchase.

About the author

M.M. Kaye was a British author who was born in India and spent much of her childhood and adult life there. She became world famous with the publication of her monumental bestseller The Far Pavilions. She is also the author of a series of mysteries, the bestselling Trade Wind and Shadow of the Moon, as well as a three volume autobiography.
