Die kanadische Autorin Lynsay Sands hat zahlreiche zeitgenössische und historische Romane verfasst. Sie studierte Psychologie, liest gern Horror- und Liebesromane und ist der Ansicht, dass ein wenig Humor "in allen Lebenslagen hilft". Mit der "Argeneau"-Serie gelang ihr der große internationale Durchbruch.
