My two year old grandson asks for this book over and over. He can name every piece of equipment in the book so we basically do this as responsive reading. I ask "what do we need?" and he answers with whatever is pictured on the page. I love the multiracial crew that includes a woman among the 4 workers pictured. We got it at the library and now I'm buying a copy for us to have permanently.
About the author
Lynn Meltzer is a preschool teacher. She lives in Framingham, Massachusetts with her family. The Construction Crew is her first book for children.
Carrie Eko-Burgess is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer whose work has been featured in Print Magazine and other prominent publications. She lives with her family in San Francisco.
