About this ebook

Angie Turner’s Idaho restaurant, the County Seat, is the perfect site for a picturesque country wedding, but the party planning skids to a halt when the groom-to-be is implicated in a murder investigation…

When Angie’s best friend and business partner, Felicia Williams, picks the County Seat to host her upcoming nuptials, Angie wants it to feel like a family affair--especially since Felicia is set to marry the farm-to-fork restaurant’s talented sous chef, Estebe Blackstone. Unfortunately, the bride’s actual family is far less enthusiastic about the union. They’re pulling out all the stops to cancel the couple’s wedding, even arranging for a surprise visit from Felicia’s ex-fiancé (and her father’s current lackey). But when her ex is killed days before the ceremony and Estebe is framed for the crime, Angie and the County Seat crew must scramble to solve the murder and save the wedding . . .

From the first book, this series grabbed me and has continued to hold my love through the newest release, Fatal Family Feast. Like all the other books, a well plotted murder touches the team at the County Seat drawing them into a complex investigation. As always, it is the wonderful interaction of the team that draws me back over and over. Strong, intelligent, and fun characters highlight this cozy mystery series. One of the things I enjoy is that Angie’s boyfriend Ian not only supports her in her search for the murder but he actually helps her even though he worries about her safety. As well as being friends of the engaged couple, he figures his involvement might mean that Angie is safer than if she works alone and he knows she is going to investigate. Felicity and Estebe are two of my favorite people in the series so I was excited when they became a couple. Now we are getting ready to celebrate their marriage, if a lazy detective doesn’t find a way to blame the murder on the groom. My thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for allowing me to read an ARC of one of the best books of the year. I had not preordered A Fatal Family Feast but I grabbed my own copy today because this book is sure to be a reread for years to come. Friends and family will be hearing a lot about A Fatal Family Feast, as they have been hearing about the rest of the series since I first discovered it.

Felicia Williams, Angie Turner’s business partner, is getting married to Estebe Blackstone in a week. Angieis busy with last minute preparations for the big event. Unfortunately, Felicia’s family is not happy about the upcoming nuptials. They send Felicia’s former fiancé to town to try and dissuade her from marrying Estebe. The meeting does not go well. When the former fiancé turns up dead, Estebe is at the top of the suspect list. Someone has set him up. If the wedding is to take place as planned, Angie needs to don her sleuthing cap and finds the guilty party. Can Angie solve the murder in time, or will the nuptials take place in the jailhouse? A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon is the sixth A Farm-to-Fork Mystery. It can be read as a standalone if you are new to the series. All our favorite characters are back in this lighthearted cozy mystery. Angie, Dom, Mabel, Ian, Felicia, Estebe, and the rest of the County Seat staff. The characters are realistic and relatable. I love hearing about the antics of Angie’s menagerie. It is down to the final week before the wedding. They have enough to do without a murder on their hands as well as Felicia’s snooty parents. The mystery suited the story. There is misdirection along with several suspects. I like how the Scooby Gang worked to gather information and put together the clues to solve the crime. I wish the crime had been more of a challenge (I pegged the killer very early in the book). The ending will have fans smiling. The food descriptions will have your mouth watering. A Fatal Family Feast is a charming whodunit with imminent nuptials, a bothersome ex-beau, patronizing parents, a fervent fiancé, an incommodious murder, and a busy bridesmaid.

Idaho, restaurant, falsely accused, family-dynamics, friendship, murder, murder-investigation, law-enforcement, amateur-sleuth, rural, small-town, small-business, wedding, class-consciousness, dogs, family-business, farming, cozy-mystery**** Great characters and a solid whodunit plot. The publisher's blurb is a good hook so I won't repeat it. Just poke your nose into this good read and enjoy! I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you.
