Are you ready to be stuck on the edge of your seat? Oath of Honor is a fast-paced book where you’ll find yourself not only biting your nails nervous, but also dying to turn the page and see what’s next. I found myself playing detective trying to figure out who the major players were and who couldn’t be trusted. I wasn’t even done with the book, and I was already dying to read the next book in the series. The excerpt in the back only accentuated my torture. This story is the first in the Blue Justice Series. In it we follow Isabelle St.John as she tries to find her partners killer with out getting herself killed in the process. Anyone who’s willing to kill a police officer has no problem killing more. Izzy is living through one of the worst days of her life. Not only was her partner killed, but Kevin was one of her best friends. How life will go on with out him, she doesn’t know, but one thing she knows without doubt is she will stop at nothing to bring his killer to justice. Izzy isn’t alone in her quest, she has her whole family and law enforcement by her side. Kevin’s handsome brother Ryan is a homicide detective, and although he can’t legally work on the case, nothing is going to stop him from investigating alongside them. There is way more going on than anyone can imagine. Will they get to the bottom of this twisted criminal organization? And who else will get hurt or killed before they can be brought to justice? I absolutely loved getting to know the St.John family. There are a lot of them, and they all love each other without reserve. Their interactions were fun to watch and exactly how I would imagine siblings from a large family. As I stated above I can hardly wait to hear more about them. I enjoyed watching Izzy and Ryan realize that just because you’ve known someone your whole life, doesn’t mean your feelings can’t grow even deeper. Izzy has been through more than most people, and yet still fights for the good. She is far from perfect, but an awesome example of overcoming, the perfect heroine. If you enjoy a great story filled with love, mystery, and family look no further. I received a complementary copy of this book from Revell and was under no obligation to post a review. Great story line, not the typical who done it and enjoyable love story. I love how the book showcased our Police and the very real danger they are in everyday protecting us!!! Appreciate how the author showcases true Christian characters. Im finding some books themed Christian might say God once and thats the entire Christian reference. Enjoyed reading this!
