About the author

 Lucy Maud Montgomery was most famous for her "Anne of Green Gables" series, but she was also a poet and short story writer. She wrote about 500 short stories and poems, in addition to 20 novels. Other novels by her are "The Story Girl" two book series, which is included in this collection. Montgomery was born at Clifton (now New London), Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 1874.
