About this ebook

Moving to a new town offers a new chance for love in this contemporary romance series opener by a New York Times–bestselling author.

Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story . . . And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself.

Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can’t seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet . . .

Foster is a go to author for me. Her novels are ones that I pick up when I want something tantalizing that I can curl up and loose myself in. This novel definitely fits that bill. It’s cute with a small town charm and a whole lot of emotion. It was emotional draining at times, and absolutely fantastic throughout. The story was exciting and fulfilling, allowing me to escape from reality and into the pages. I won’t go into too much detail here, but I will say that this is a must read novel. Foster’s descriptions bring the characters to life in every possible way. I felt for Honor without pitying her. What she’d been through in her life was more than anyone should ever have to handle on their own. The way that she thinks that she can’t show emotion in order for people to like her broke my heart. Jason was so understanding throughout it all, his strength and compassion allowing Honor to gradually accept him. I loved how naturally these two fit together. On the other hand, Sullivan & Lexie’s whirlwind romance was equally captivating. This was definitely a great start to a series that I’m dying to read more of. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone, anywhere, who enjoys some heartfelt romance. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

What is better than one of Lori Foster’s romance novels, how about two love stories wrapped up in one awesome package? Don’t Tempt Me is the first book in Lori’s Guthrie Brother’s series. This book was funny, sexy and oh so hot! The main romance in the book is between Honor and Jason. Honor Brown has just bought a new home so she can be closer to her sick grandfather. Her new home is a fixer upper with a huge amount of repairs needing to be made. Between working and helping care for her grandfather Honor has little time to work on all the projects at home and no time for a man or any type of relationship. She can’t deny the attraction between her sexy new neighbor, Jason Guthrie, and herself and finds that the walls she has built around her heart might be just as weak as the ones in her new home. The more these two spend together the more her walls crumble and Honor will have to decide if she is willing to let Jason into her heart. The second story in the book is about Honor’s best friend, Lexie Perkins, and Sullivan Dean, a martial arts teacher and one of Honor’s new neighbors. Lexie is the complete opposite of Honor. Where Honor is shy and quite, Lexie is flirty and the perfect image of what a party girl would be. While Sullivan is attracted to the beautiful Lexie he is determined to stay away. He just wants to help out the kids who need them in his life as a positive role model at his martial arts studio. However, the more these two get to know each other Sullivan sees there is so much more hiding under Lexie’s tough girl exterior. This book was just perfect. I have always been a huge fan of Lori Foster’s and am so excited to be getting a new series from her. I would highly recommend this book to others. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

4.5 Stars I so loved this one. I enjoyed the main characters and the secondary characters. All I can say I want to move to that neighborhood with all that eye candy. My heart goes out to Honor she just doesn't know how to accept help and not know if they have ulterior motives or not. Lucky for her she moves next door to some hunky guys (with one who rarely wears a shirt) that there are good people out there. I enjoyed watching the relationships she makes with all of them. She has her friend Lexie, but not much else. Seeing her blossom through out this book was beautiful. Jason is just yummy and his protectiveness of Honor is just makes him great book boyfriend material. I also thought the story of Lexie and Sullivan was just as great. Sullivan is in for a surprise with Lexie because he's not going to know what hit him. This book sucked me in with it's delightful characters and kept me hooked with it's story line.
