Graeme plans to wage an extreme and ruthless vendetta against those who wronged him—Breed and human alike. All will suffer his wrath: those who created him, those who pretended to love him, and those who betrayed him. This includes the one at the center of it all: a seductive, enigmatic woman helpless against the man whose desire is just as desperate as his need to destroy. He was a shadow, able to blend in everywhere and anywhere. He’s a rogue Bengal Breed hiding in plain sight. He has a need for vengeance and he has the scent of the seductive enigmatic woman who’s at the center of it all in this thrilling paranormal romance. Cat is helpless against the man whose desire is just as desperate as his need to destroy and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the electrifying and seductive story as Cat and Graeme fight their way through the mating heat. The sizzling chemistry and fiery tempers between Cat and Graeme has sparks flying but this relationship is an emotional roller coaster as circumstances and the past has a colossal grip that won’t let go which has lots of emotional turbulence flowing from the pages and capturing the heart of the reader even causing a few tears. These strong, vibrant characters demands readers attention while they seduce you with their story while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement, turmoil and romance. Manipulations, intrigues and suspense keep readers on their toes with pulse pounding excitement building as Graeme puts his plans in motion and schemes take on a whole new meaning and adding to all that excitement is the unexpected twists that surprise readers throughout the story. The scenes are well written with vivid details that make it easy for the reader to become immersed in the characters’ lives as they live their story. Jonas is up to his usual games but by adding Graeme into the mix, things just got more complicated and more intriguing because there is no way that I could guess to just who was what up to what and what the outcome of all their scheming would be and Cat lives up to her name and gives as good as she gets which really made me chuckle a bit. Once again, the Breeds held be spellbound from beginning to end and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Revenge or love everlasting? The game he plays is deep, the stakes are high, he is the master at this game of deception, but what other way is there to play when the survival of your species and your very mate is at stake. One moment you will wonder at his genius then next you’ll question his very sanity, but that is no more than he’s been doing himself for years, ever since he left a young Cat after swearing revenge on the young girl that saved his life and irrevocably tied them together and insured his forays into madness. He’s been many years without his mate. She’s been hidden beneath the veil of tribal magic. Now the veil is lifted and it’s just a matter of time before he claims her permanently. The question is… does he want his revenge or does he want his mate? Who is her mate? Is he Gideon? Is he G? or perhaps his latest incarnation as Graeme? No matter the face he shows the world, he’s managed to accrue his chits and grown quite a loyal following. Makes it just a bit difficult for the poor Jonas to pin him down. I think up until Gideon I had thought one of the most intriguing characters created by Ms. Leigh was Jonas. I would be very hard pressed to choose after a Bengal’s Quest. Can I just say wow? Talk about a very complex character. And for such a complex alpha male you better believe you’ll get a similarly complex heroine. You’d have to be a rather complex woman if you had a resident ghost co-inhabiting your body. Thirteen years ago a group of Native American shaman performed a ritual transforming her from Fawn into Claire, a recently deceased girl from the tribe. A bit of plastic surgery had her living the lie for years. But unlike her friend Honor, Fawn never lost herself in the new identity. She didn’t end up in a loving, nurturing family. Instead, she ended up in the care of a traitor. And while Fawn may have been her legal name, it wasn’t really her either. She was Cat. She was G’s creation, a Bengal waiting to emerge. Her life was a ticking time bomb waiting for revenge to happen. She was also on the genetic councils most wanted list. I have totally loved this series from the very beginning. I wait impatiently for each new release. This time, I did something a little different. I decided to get the audible edition and listen while I read along. I can tell you that Brianna Bronte does an awesome job narrating. She has a great range in her voice and excellent skills in expressing the characters. Again I was totally awed by the skills of Ms. Leigh. I can’t wait to read To Wake a Sleeping Tiger. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****

Good story. Tying up some story lines. Not as spell binding as the others in the series but good. Looking forward to the next installment.
