About this ebook

Quirky and fun-loving American heiress Daisy Bowman is the last unmarried Wallflower. Her exasperated father has informed her that if she can’t find a husband by the end of her third London season, she will be forced to marry a man she hates—the ruthless entrepreneur Matthew Swift.

Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, so she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone . . . anyone . . . other than Matthew. What she doesn’t count on, however, is Matthew’s unexpected charm, or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams.

But when a scandalous secret is uncovered, it could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy’s wildest fantasies.

Ok, my 3 star rating is unfounded, why? I have not read the book yet, but I just finished Evie's story which is the 3rd in the series and which was AWESOME! there Daisy gets her first kiss from Rohan, a character I fell in love with, so I was hoping he would be the one she would end up with. Seeing that it is this Matthew fellow kind of burst my bubble...I will eventually read it, and do a post-reading review. So, the 3 star rating is based on my disappointment.

My favourite part of the book would be the scene by Lillian's door when Daisy finds out about Matthew's longtime fascination with her. It was a poignant discovery by a button and a lock of hair. Surely Lisa Kleypas is one who really writes great stories. real, meaningful and touching stories..

Just as awesome as the rest of the series! And don't panic if you didn't read them in order, I actually read Devil in Winter before I got hooked and bought them all. Love the story twist in the end about Matthew Swift. He's actually one of my fav characters, which is fitting since I am 75% Irish. The other quarter is Cherokee. Awesome read!
