Ratings and reviews

This book definitely builds up the storyline and is action-packed. The heroes of the series are also growing individually and as a team, even as mistakes are made and forgiven. The train scene was one of my favorites so far, and the last chapter leaves us cliffhanging for the next book, with the heroine in a pickle, so to speak...lol A good series, so far, for those who like fantasy, fiction, and adventure all rolled into one.

These characters have become part of my own extended family. The writing is still witty and intelligent. My only complaint about book 4 is that the ending is not satisfying as a cliffhanger. I would read book 5 anyway, had the author found a way to wrap the ends of the story in a standalone conclusion. Further hints suggesting there is much more to come propels readers as far. As is, the ending feels gimmicky -- a TV series device asking viewers to stay tuned.

This Author is.....well superb!! Thats the best way to put it. in the character of Amaranthe she has pretty much created my ideal woman! haha. smart, brave, witty, sensitive yet strong spirited and YET the authour has kept the physical description of her to minimum rather than focusing on it as is the usual case! excellent. the banter between characters is beautifully handled also. im determined to binge read the entire series! well done Lindsey and thank you!
