I was completely let down when I finished this series. Despite being marketed as a love story, the two main characters barely shared any "screen" time. When they finally confessed their love for each other, I couldn't help but ask myself, "How on earth did that happen?!" The series reads more like a crime novel than a romance novel, focusing on the protagonist's family's murder, mystery, and criminal activities. It's a shame that the author failed to strike the right balance between the two genres. This was my first time reading anything by this author, and unfortunately, this disappointing experience has left me with no desire to read anything else by them in the future.

The editing and errors are astonishingly bad, but the story is reasonaable. If the author ever read what she wrote, I'd believe she could be a top selling author. Her attention to detail lets her down and irritates the reader. The whole series is shameful.

I like the plot but I hate how many spelling errors, duplicate words and missing words the book has. This alone will make me not pay for the remaining 3 books of the series. I'll just torrent them and get them for free seeing as the author can't be bothered to properly edit the book.
