Mya has no idea who she is or where she is. All she knows is she woke, naked, in a field, with a stag grazing nearby. Kayden MacGregor nearly shoots her with an arrow when she tries to chase off the animal which would have been his dinner. Now, he must not only go hungry, but he also has another mouth to feed, as he can't simply leave her behind. Saddled with a lass with no money, no clan, no family, no memory and not even any clothing, Kayden can't help but resent her. He also can't help but want her. Dependent on Kayden for absolutely everything, Mya feels much the same. But when Kayden helps her get back on her feet, will he want her to go? Will she want to stay? This story is a promising beginning to the series, however, there is much that this first book simply does not address. The title indicates that this is a time travel novel, but this first installment in the series really doesn't indicate this is the case at all, much beyond Mya's odd appearance in the middle of a field with no memory. And while there is some conflict with a few members of the clan Kayden is integrating with, for the most part, Mya and Kayden live in complete isolation. Given the insular nature of clan society, it seems highly improbable that a woman's sudden appearance would be accepted without visitors coming by to welcome her, inquire to her welfare or gather fodder for gossip, or the chief to demand an audience. The passion between Kayden and Mya is electric, and the story is a quick and easy read. Because the plot has quite a bit of potential, I am likely to read the next installment in the series and hope that many of these issues are addressed as the story unfolds.

The story is shorter than I would have liked and it is a bit co fusing at first as to how Mya ended up in the field, alone with no memory. However as I began to read the 2nd and 3rd book the true story begins to really come together. These books are quick reads (I've been devouring them in a day or less) and highly addictive. I can't wait to see what happens next!

This is basically a generic version of outlander, but there is no intro. There's no back story on the characters and the timeline just takes off weeks at a time with no details about what is going on. It could be a great story if the author took the time to introduce the setting and characters and made an actual story line, instead of just two characters who literally go from arguing and despising each other to falling in love and pouncing on each other every other page. And the end seriously just leave you hanging with no answer or direction where their relationship goes.
