All together, this series of books has been fascinating. It's been an adventurous ride full of twists and turns, that blended well from one story to the next. Each book has it's own story line, but there is also an ongoing saga that continues from book to book. The first 5 books focus on the main characters from the McKay-Taggart group, how they found (or re-found) love. It's also about family, and how its what you make it. This rag tag group has forged a family from adversity, life threatening danger, and trust. They depend on one another, and it's really beautiful to see. This group of stories was amazingly well written, and I enjoyed each one individually. Putting them all together, and the on going saga just makes them that much more enjoyable!

Book 1 - loved a little. Book 2 - loved a lot Book 3 - liked a lot, Li was really unnecessarily mean and condescending to Avery at times. By book 4 and 5 I was ready to be done with the series, it got wayyyy too convoluted. 4.5 overall

About the author
