What ensues is the re-building relationship between Remy and Lisa, and the potential fall-out as their time together draws to a close. The relationship between Lisa and Remy is one of second chances. Lisa was humiliated and heartbroken when Remy refused her offer of submission but Remy knows his time in Texas is limited as he heads back to the Bayou, and the family he left behind. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense with some light BDSM scenarios including rope play. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the couples from the earlier instalments as well as DS Maia Brighton, Dom and Top’s bar manager Lincm and bodyguard Shane Landon. CLOSE COVER brings together the characters we love as the author heads into her new spin –off focusing on the Lost Boys. CLOSE COVER is an edgy and sexy story line with a sassy heroine, and a driven hero. The premise is intense and dramatic; the romance is emotional and provocative; the characters are familiar, sensual and inspiring. CLOSE COVER is a thrilling and exquisite ride.

Lexi does another great job bring Remy and Lisa's story! I love the Masters and Mercenaries series and Remy is no exception. You think that things will get hot and heavy between these characters... It is more intense! I have not read a Lexi Blake book in forever and I remember now why I was so addicted! Remy is a character I adore and want to be under his protection. He was stubborn at first, until Lisa finally breaks down his barriers. The drama magnitude in Close Cover was off the charts. I was nervous that things would not be okay when this was all said and done. Lisa was a kick a$% heroine and I was rooting for her all the way! This is the first book I have read in the Lexi Blake crossover series. I was excited to see what we would get with these amazing characters! Can not wait to dive into the next book <3

4.50 stars. What a wonderful book. Hot and sexy but romantic and human. Laugh out loud humor with some realmsoft spots. Entertaining read and filled in some more gaps in the "Masters and Mercenaries" world.
