About this ebook

It’ll be a summer of discovery on the Chesapeake Bay…

Meg Harris loves living in picturesque Pleasant Shores, though the summer rental next door sometimes means noisy neighbors. She’s shocked to discover that the newest occupant is Finn O’Conner, her late husband’s business lawyer and her onetime love. Turns out Finn secretly writes bestselling thrillers under an alias. Their spark quickly flares again, but Meg has seen her dreams derailed by a man before.

Though Meg’s warmth inspires him to be honest, there’s one painful truth about Meg's husband that Finn can’t reveal. He doesn’t want to get involved while keeping this secret—or shatter her illusions about the past. But what he and Meg are building could be much more than just a summer romance, if they’re willing to trust in this brand-new chapter…

This book kept me turning the pages. Finn and Meg were attracted to each other, but Finn had a secret he couldn’t share about Meg’s late husband, and Meg was not confident enough to think that Finn would be attracted to her. They would have to work past those obstacles. I loved the way that Finn was able to encourage Meg in her final weeks of writing her master’s thesis. I really liked that his story was about an “older” couple (not in their twenties). This was a sweet story and I would recommend it. I received a digital copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.
