About this ebook

Jack Reacher finds trouble in Texas in the fifth novel in Lee Child’s #1 New York Times bestselling series.

DON'T MISS REACHER ON PRIME VIDEO!

Thumbing across the scorched Texas desert, Jack Reacher has nowhere to go and all the time in the world to get there. Cruising the same stretch of two-lane blacktop is Carmen Greer. For Reacher, the lift comes with a hitch. Carmen’s got a wild story to tell—all about her husband, her family secrets, and a hometown that’s purely gothic. She’s also got a plan. Reacher’s part of it. And before the sun sets, this ride could cost them both their lives.

Child seems to be changing Reacher's character in this one. less military escapades and more traveling hero who just finds trouble without looking for it but can always handle it. Looks to be a good read. I especially like when Child is introducing the killers in a way that has no extra dialogue, just very short and to the point.

Like many of his books the intracasies of the unfolding plot left me in disbelief. Has this guy never heard of Murphys Law. Real operations never go as planned. The plan is the first casualty of combat. Not for Reacher. Well written but implausible.

Very predictable plot more than the last 4 reacher novels. All in all it was a decent read but rather kinda boring. That being said, I'll buy the next reacher novel and hopefully Child spent a little more thought in that one.
