This novella didn’t really work for me. Dane wrapped up the overall series arc in the last book, “Alpha’s Challenge”. This almost felt like an “oops, I left one of the Warden siblings single” and it was drawn out juvenile drama. Megan picks up Layla’s anchor, Shane at the airport for a family wedding and BOOM, they’re mates. So we get the insta-lust, claiming and then they can’t agree on anything but having sex. There’s a ménage for the tri-bond and then it’s just pages and pages of the same argument with sex scenes tossed in. At this point I’m skimming. If it was going to lack so much plot it should have been stuck it the middle of the series... at the end it feels and reads like an afterthought.
