Brad and Daisy's love story is so sweet, light, and entertaining. In Catching His Ladybird (A Paranormal Council Short Story), we have a short love story that was years in the making. Brad and Daisy have known each other their entire lives. Both are shifters but never talked about it. What a discovery to make, and even more, to discover that they are mates. Catching His Ladybird is an entertaining, very quick read. The two characters are interesting and. It is nice that Daisy is smart as well as beautiful. There is so much to like about this short story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A great paranormal short story about Daisy, who left home ten years ago to work for a bank in the city but when her parents go on vacation for a week and need her to watch the farm, Daisy gladly agrees. It'll give her plenty of time to relax, unwind, and be able to shift and fly which the city doesn't allow much time or space for. When she sees a man walking up the lane waving, she can't figure out who she would know and be recognized by after all these years, and then it comes to her the closer he gets. It's Brad, her childhood best friend. The one she was closer to than any other person in the world. The one that she felt like she had to move away from because she can only marry another shifter, not a human. But it seems Brad has secrets of his own and after all this time, he intends to share them. This was a short, sweet story that let me unwind and get lost in for a bit.

I really enjoyed this cute short story. It was about Daisy, a shifter, returning home to watch her parents farm. She runs into her childhood crush Brad, but knows she can't be with him because he's human. This story was so cute and enjoyable. It made me laugh and giggle and had that small touch of romance that we look forward to with Laura's stories. Definitely recommend this book!
