Ratings and reviews

This book falls short due to their choice to hire a ghost writer. The style is slightly off but not so much as to make it unreadable. For me it is disappointing and the end of an era for LJ Smith's fantastic vampire stories. Another thing that bothered me was they got Meredith's last name wrong- in the first 7 books it was Sulez not Suarez.

I cant believe that they would let anyone besides LJ Smith write these books. It ruins the whole series. She is one of the best writers ever and have someone else write a book that many people had such high hopes for.

In the beginning it captured me but as the end drew near it was like the author ran out of things to write about. It was suspenseful but dragged out. You can definitely tell the original author was missing, but since I am a huge fan of the books I will be finishing this series.
