Most of this value was a build on of the previous relationship with the villain and the protagonist with almost no advancement in the story line. Basically the only advancement is the protagonist encountering the villain, nothing more than that. If you don't care much for the villains pity parade backstory on why he hates the protagonist, then go to Reddit and read about it in there and just get the next volume, you won't miss much in this one. Lastly for those who have trouble understanding this review, I am not criticizing the series with this review, just this single volume.

This series is far better than the poor review given by a disgruntled reader. It's similar in a way to reincarnated as a slime. If you enjoyed that you'd probably enjoy this.
