I wanted to like this book a lot more. it does many things right for the OP mc genre, such as remembering those stories need to be mostly about the relationship and journey, BUT it just never goes anywhere and I don't really care about the characters. It's not the worst, (the worst is my status as an assassin) but I found myself tapping out about 280 or so pages.

At first glace a normal isekai story, but there is something that makes it so much better. This is one of those that just clicks into place. I have seen two version of a manga, both slightly better than the text. If there is an edit of this, please remove the smoking and please remove a few of the repeated descriptions of the grandfather's obsessions.

this book reminds me a lot of "to another world with landmines". about starting a new life in a new world. it's less about being reincarnated as a game character than it is trying to adapt to a new world. I also enjoyed the last story where you see other people than the MC being affected. really looking forward to the next book.
