Kimberly Seals-Allers is the author of The Mocha Manual to a Fabulous Pregnancy and The Mocha Manual to Turning Your Passion into Profit. An award-winning journalist, she has been a writer at Fortune and a senior editor at Essence, among other publications. She resides on Long Island, New York.

Pamela McBride has served military families personally and professionally for twenty years. She serves as a Well-Being Program Specialist for the Department of the Army and is a freelance writer for www.homefrontonline.com. She is the coauthor of Work It, Girl! The Black Woman's Guide to Professional Success, and has been a frequent contributor to various magazines, including Essence and Black Collegian, as well as Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps Times supplements.
