MOSTLY SPOILER FREE I thought this was pretty good. I expected to not like this one as much, but I liked it quite a bit. Rani was a surprisingly entertaining character, I like her a lot. And the art in this book is the best so far, it's fantastic. Like other books, it's hard to talk about what I liked the most without going into too much spoiler territory, but for this one I'll touch on it because my more favorite aspects are spoiler-y. SPOILER TERRITORY: I love how the quest with Mother Dove's egg is continually hinted at and developed rather than being told directly. We also learn more about Neverland in this one, too. The dragon Kyto is expanded on a bit, which is rad. And we learn a little more about the inhabitants of Neverland with the Water Sprite. And although I wish the ending had followed through with what it was implying, and it was still cheesey and predicted, it still felt natural and was executed well. OUT OF SPOILER TERRITORY Over all it is definitely one of the better ones so far, a lot to like in it.

This book was really well written, it has a lot of callbacks to fairy haven and the quest for the egg and some of the other chapter books.
