I am absolutely in love with this series. Unfortunately, none of my chapters are full in the 2nd book. I'm halfway through a paragraph and turn the page and suddenly it's the next chapter. I waved it off the first time, but it keeps happening and I can't enjoy the book. :(

I keep coming back to read them again and again. I love how she has the characters go in ways that you wouldn't expect and how she really separates the characters attitudes and mentalities. I also like how she throws in extra detail about her surroundings that isn't considered important to the plotline, like when she trips randomly when going to the graveyard. It's suspenseful, it's funny, it's sad it's super happy. I love it.

My wife got me started reading this series about 2 months ago, I love Kim's adaptive reality and the way she portrays the mythic races... having grown up in Ohio it's refreshing reading about my home state and it's alternate reality... 2 months and I'm 8 books in, can't wait to read the rest!

Kim Harrison is best known as the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Hollows series, but she has written more than urban fantasy and has published more than two dozen books, spanning the gamut from young adult, accelerated-science thriller, and several anthologies and has scripted two original graphic novels set in the Hollows universe.
