I enjoyed the first issue, but this issue fell flat to me. The characterization just felt off. I don't buy Tim as "hope". I see that as more a Nightwing trait. I also don't see Jason as isolated. Independent, yes; isolated no. I looked forward to the team up.Based on their personalities, I expected more of a true team up and not Tim rescuing Jason or Jason validating Tim's regression back to the Robin role. Plus, the story didn't play by the rules of the event. Insomnia didn't seem to be looking for anything. "Beating" Insomnia, as opposed to keeping him from the Nightmare Stone didn't seem to be the goal. Finally, I don't see either character as particularly burned by these traumas at this stage in the continuity. The art was fine, but the colors lackluster and muddled.
