the part where the area chief was berating Iris reminded me of when I worked for a store and the area managers came in because our store started falling in sales after they opened 3 more of the same store in the area. Our store manager stood up for us and was fired that day. the man is my hero. they wanted to get rid of him cause he told them what was what and took care of his employees while they were trying to boost their bottom line so they could sell the company to a even more exploitative company. I left a few weeks later myself and they wrote some nasty things about me in my profile that I can't prove true or false cause everyone else was also gone. they lost a lot of business cause I had a few hundred people that would come in just to talk to me and I imagine it was the same for the others. just goes to show that companies should value employees. value your employees and they will value the company.
