I can't believe this was written by the same author who wrote so many other books I've really enjoyed. Lousy dialog, extraneous characters, unreal sexual descriptions, unrealistic plot. Very disappointing.

...but still thoroughly enjoyable. Perhaps not Follett's best work, but I still found myself very engaged. The subject matter is unique, and the climax was spellbinding. This was a good book.
