This series is the most amazing series of books I have ever read. I hungrily devour them over and over. I found this book 17 years ago and it still sits on my shelf, well read and very loved. The Gears make me feel as though I transport through space and time. I feel the snow under my feet, I live the sadness with each heartache. Superb and hopefully I die before this amazing couple so I can greet them in the afterlife.

Good book but having read Jean Auel's Earth's Children series previous to this one i found hers to be far more superior in authenticity

You will be pulled into the book, not wanting to put it down. The first people who come to settle North America are thought to have come over the Bering Sea land bridge. The story of the earliest Native people is an excellent, exciting story you will find yourself needing to know what will happen next. They are exquisite storytellers. You will love it and they have other great books to read as well.
