Dr. Cadence Lawrence in running. She accidentally runs into the man who she is positive killed her high school friend 10 years ago. No one believed her then ... and no one believes her now. But her cat has gone missing .... someone has been in her home ... she knows .... he's coming for her. Fearful for her life, Cadence runs headlong into one of the worst snowstorms to hit in years. She's stranded, freezing and alone but help comes from an unexpected source... a stranger happens by. Should she trust him? This was not what I expected when I grabbed a copy of a Kate Watterson novel. Having read all her Ellie McIntosh series, I was eager to read what I thought was another one of the series. It is not .... What I got was a well-written romantic suspense full of great characters with a few surprises thrown in the mix. The voices come from not only Cadence, but a female FBI Agent who is looking for a serial killer who has her own agenda, and the killer, as well. Many thanks to the author / Crooked Lane Books / Netgalley for the advanced digital copy of this Romantic Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
About the author
Kate Watterson grew up on a steady diet of intriguing mystery and suspense novels. She lives in southern Indiana in the woods on a lake with her husband, giant dog, Tim, and her very small cat, Jack. She also writes as Emma Wildes.
