Ratings and reviews

A pretty decent read. Most of my enjoyment came as it is centered in a world based on a game I love. For non-magic players, as a stand alone fantasy story, it's probably fairly generic. On that note, I think the writer did well keeping in mind that some of the reader base would be younger. Solid 4.5 as a mahic fan. 3.5 as a fantasy fan.

I loved the eldraine card set. This book based on the cards is bad. Characters are boring. There's a chase scene at the end where they speed past all the graphics and cards they can fit in 10 pages. Don't bother.

Nice story of adventure, duty and comming of age in a magic the gathering world. The characters are really believable and we got to know the whole world of Eldraine. It is possibly the best magic novel I read, but it does not ask deep philosophical questions.
