5 star Review Las Vegas Sidewinders: Jared (# 15) by Kat Mizera I have only read a couple of books in this series from Kat Mizera and have found them all to be highly entertaining and well written. I am sad to know that this may well be the last book in this series but when time permits, I will be looking at the other books as I have enjoyed all of the ones I have read so far. This is Las Vegas Sidewinder Ian Campbell and Everly Adamson’s story and what a fabulous way to bring the series to a close. Ian knows that he will soon have to make a decision whether not to accede to his grandfather’s wishes, not only is he a top NHL player but he is also lawyer, but all he wants is to take some time for himself back in his native Scotland. Everly is a photojournalist Everly Adamson who finds solace behind the lens of her camera. She has been hurt and betrayed in the past and doesn’t give her trust easily. When Ian steps up to help Everly out, it is the beginning of a romance, that will bring them both to their knees. This was a beautiful, romantic love story that will give you all the feels. Not only was there humour, but it was heart warming, sad and emotional, throw in the setting of Scotland and it castles and Ms. Mizera had me hook, line and sinker. When the secrets that Everly has hidden come to the surface, feelings will be hurt and trust lost. Can Ian be the man to help Everly come to terms with the emotional baggage she has? Or will Everly retreat and walk away? This book left me with a book hang over, but also with a smile on my face.

Ian is a fantastic contemporary romance by Kat Mizera. Ms. Mizera has provided readers with a well-written book. I especially like the characters in this story. Everly is a photographer and sometimes photojournalist and is in Scotland researching and photographing castles when she ends up in a ditch. Ian is a Scot that plays hockey for the Las Vegas Sidewinders. Ian and Everly's story is loaded with drama, humor, smokin' hot sexy bits and a side helping of angst. I enjoyed reading this book but the angst was a little more than this old woman likes. Ian is book 13 of the Las Vegas Sidewinders Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

A commonly typical story of insta love and insta lust..and like usual changing their minds in the littlest sign of trouble. Ian is a kind man but also judgemental and a snob, and a bit too full of himself. Blaming a kid for her father's transgression is somewhat extreme. To salve his conscience, he later on helped when everly and friend got involved in an accident. But then apologies won't erased into oblivion the mean words don't they? I cheered at that moment when everly finally ended things and stood up for herself. But then, forgiveness and working it out is the key to successful relationships. Will they ever recover and trust each other through obstacles and fear of rejection? Will Ian work through his own emotional issues and baggages? It's not the greatest love story but it is a fairly enjoyable read if you have available time. And as far as i have seen there are no grammatical errors or misspelled words.
