About this ebook

One of the most notorious works of modern times, as well as one of the most influential, Capital is an incisive critique of private property and the social relations it generates. Living in exile in England, where this work was largely written, Marx drew on a wide-ranging knowledge of its society to support his analysis and generate fresh insights. Arguing that capitalism would create an ever-increasing division in wealth and welfare, he predicted its abolition and replacement by a system with common ownership of the means of production. Capital rapidly acquired readership among the leaders of social democratic parties, particularly in Russia and Germany, and ultimately throughout the world, to become a work described by Marx's friend and collaborator Friedrich Engels as 'the Bible of the Working Class'.

I'm amazed to see the top reviews of this book look like people that barely even read the first few pages because "the words were too big" and to say that the "LEFT" is behind the pricing of said book is just absurd. It's priced that way due to CAPITALISM!! Which I'm pretty sure the book talks about but don't take my word for it. I'm just a guy reading the book. and if you read the book like i am you should've also took note that Karl Marx was more of an anarchist cause he didnt believe that there is any correct set of laws via a "socio-ecomic" system to work for all people. which i agree just doesn't happen. So before you "judge a book by its cover" actually give it a read people have perverted this man's ideals to work for them and their social democratic ledt agenda for sure but there are good points to be made here. don't think for one second CAPITALISM is the greatest thing on earth either when multiple countries can and have failed as well.
