Its hard to tell if this is my favorite of the 5 book series but its defiantly top 2. Traviss has a way about her when it comes the the not-no-clean parts of war that drag you in, and I admire the twists she makes in the book, and the character choices (I wont spoil but, its got some great plot twists). I also love how the Mandalorian Culture has been refined once again in this book, and I feel once again drawn into this culture, it has a allure that leaves me wanting more, so to me this culture development, as well as introduction to more of the nulls is great, and it leaves me wanting more from them. No one dose the true Mandalorians like Traviss One thing I will say, not just about the book, but the author. When you read a book by Traviss it has a unique feel. the wars, battles, emotions, the details. In my opinion it seems almost personal, like experiances that she have gone through under the lens of the sci-fi she is writing for, be it Star Wars, Halo, Gears of War, or whatever it is, it has this feel like she has been there and you can feel it. Maybe i'm wrong, but when I walk away from her books I always find myself asking that question and regardless of weather she did or not, you as the reader very much can feel the passion. Not the best written review but I hope it dose justice and if you like star wars and haven't read this book, you need to. Oya Mando'ad
