Ratings and reviews

The events between Gears 2 and the soon to be gears 3 will probably leave a lot of questions in most fans heads. This book does a great job breaking down Dom, Marcus, Hoffman, etc. and really gives them a much more human feel over a war hardened grunt. Great read for any Gears fan

Love this series and love the games even more. It's a great book, but it does flip flop back in forth along two timelines a little too much for my likeing, but regardless its a great read. Can't wait to move forward in the series.

Can't decide if Aspho Fields is better or not, but it doesn't matter. JR is an fantastic read on par with the first book.
