About this ebook

After faking her own death, a mother on the run from her abusive husband is desperate to start a new life -- but as a new romance blossoms, he threatens to track her down . . .
It was a desperate plan. But Mary Grace Winters knew the only way to save herself and her child from her abusive cop husband was to stage their own death. Now all that remains of their former life is at the bottom of a lake. Armed with a new identity in a new town, she and her son have found refuge hundreds of miles away. As Caroline Stewart, she has almost forgotten the nightmare she left behind nine years ago. She is even taking a chance on love with Max Hunter, a man with wounds of his own. But her past is about to collide with the present when her husband uncovers her trail and threatens her hard-won peace. Step by step, he's closing in on her -- and everything and everyone she loves.

Audiobook review: Story 5 Performance 5 Overall 5 Kept me riveted the entire time I listened. Michael Ferraiuolo is one of my favorite audiobook performers but Don't Tell is the first book I've read by Karen Rose. She's going to be a featured author at a book con I'm attending in February so I wanted to read one of her books before then. When I found out that Michael read the audiobook of Don't Tell I knew that was the way I wanted to go. Wow, what a story! The story engaged me right from the beginning and didn't want to let me go. Unfortunately, the audiobook is 15+ hours long so it wasn't possible for me to listen to it in just one day; but I did finish it in just two days! I didn't want to do anything else until I finished this. This story might not be for everyone. It has scenes of fairly graphic violence (including domestic abuse), off page rape, and kidnapping of a child. It definitely is categorized properly as a thriller and suspense. I don't understand the negative comments about Michael's performance. I loved all of the different voices he did for this story. I much prefer to listen to a male narrator as I find that most of them do a very credible female voice when needed, but most female narrators are not able to do a good male voice. I have the next book in this series queued up and ready to listen to next and I can hardly wait!
