There's nothing wrong with following the formula arifureta uses, but just like arifureta, the "classroom side stories" really grate on my nerves. I generally use the AI reader at work, but throughout the series, whenever the focus shifts from the main character to one of his classmates I switch to reading it just so I can speed through it and get the gist. It's tiresome to work through since it kind of matters, but the important points could be summed up in 5-10 sentences.

The monotonous rambling just kills this story. Feels like Mojo jojo wrote this book, but instead of humour, it's filled with so much toxicity. Only managed to finish it by skipping all the scenes about the class.

for me it was a pretty slow start and it wasn't grabbing my attention as much as I would've liked. it has potential closer towards the end though so hopefully #2 can bring it back to where it needs to be for me.
