My fave out of the three. Jade is beautiful, brave and hilarious. Her and Cain are a perfect match and I always love how he responds as he slowly gets to know and understand Jade. I have reread this one almost as often as The Bride. 😁

I was actually getting bored of a standard romance using weak lies and insecurities as a plot base. The conversations the 2 antagonists have, although they involve the above, are different- if you picture them actually happening - they're pretty funny! And i think the best part is, that although everyone seems to think they're one upping the other all the time in this book, theres no real rending of feelings or stupid dramatic moves by one character. It just turns out well in the end!

I've lost track of how many times I've read this book. Julie Garwood is a master at writing Romance with a great sense of humor! Love all the Old times novels!
