Although the theory is still the same the books references and examples are 25 years out of date. There is nothing in the book that you can't find for free on the internet. Jokes about phone cords being tangled .... Not relevant

It won't make you funny but will help you understand the general process of how to start doing standup comedy.

Gives good information on stand up fundamentals. Use it as reference.
