I might recommend this book. However do not EVER buy anything from googleplay/amazon that comes with a CD. You will not get the data on that CD. In this case, I reallly need the information on that CD which includes practice tests. You need ALL the help you can get when studying for a CompTIA exam, that organization is definitely in it for the money, and the test questions are setup to be harder to answer than ever before. Example: I took A+ in 2011 passed, took it in 2014 failed. I studied hard for months, for both. How do you pass a test and then fail the 2nd time? Easy , they added some interactive scenario bullshit that accounts for a lot of the grading. I am no dummy, I work in the IT Healthcare field already (I love it! they pay at least 30% more than working outside of Healthcare). I emailed googleplay to let them know that a CD should be included, they told me "too bad our buy our higher priced book to get the CD". So why did it say early on in the book that there is a CD included? do the authors now this? Anyway, best advise for anyone studying anything on their own is to get a hard copy. I'm learning the hard way. Now I have to scrounge around for testing material. At this point I may not even take the test and just use Microsoft or Cisco for certs. Comptia doesn't even have stand-alone practice tests for this cert. I can't just judge this book by itself, I have to include the avenue I bought it through, on top of everything,, this book doesn't even download, it stays on a server some where. In protest I will never order anything from google ever again. Customer satisfaction is still important, googleplay just basically told me "fuck you buddy, too bad! we got you money HAHA! Don't let this happen to you. Most tecnical books come with a CD. Out of pocket costs for exams are expensive,,A+ is close to $400, this test is over a $100. Nobody wants to just throw away money because they can't get properly prepared with self-study. Avoid googleplay books at all costs.

Very good, Finished the book in 3 days. Some what general but will give some foundation of understanding. Decided against this cert as further investigation showed that it probably would not be very beneficial to me, but certainly could not hurt.
