Grimalkin's book continues the storyline, but it's all following Grimalkin with only a few mentions of Tom's name, nothing of his events during this book, while Alice becomes involved at the end. There are 'flashbacks'... stories retold (belabored) of Grimalkin's past, as she continues carrying the burden from the last volume, Rage of the Fallen. (For some reason, my ereader apparently has an incorrect total page count of this book, showing 244 instead of 400+, and for those books that follow... all from Google Play store.)

The book has everything that you expect from it. This book like others has a lot of twists and turns in it but comes together naturally. Grimalkin is tested to her limits and as always she proves her greatness again and again.

Why does this copy only show 185 pages when it claims to have over 400 pages? I want to continue reading this series, but I want the complete book. Nevermind above comment. I now understand how the page numbers work. Although this book only shows 185 pages, I noticed that the page numbers stay the same for several pages. Like if you are on page 10 it won't change to 11 until you flip through at least four or five pages.

Joseph DELANEY is the author of the internationally best-selling The Last Apprentice series, which is now a major motion picture, Seventh Son. He is a former English teacher who lives in the heart of boggart territory in Lancashire, England. His village has a boggart called the Hall Knocker, which was laid to rest under the step of a house near the church.
