I generally enjoy the adventures of Ridmark and the gang. I have read the other novels and the entire frostborn series. But this was pointless i genuinely feel robbed of time amd money. This book does nothing to make anything better or more interesting or give us a different perspective on ridmark as a young reckless swordbearer. It doesnt show a time where Ridmark had a different relationship with his 'Rival'. Ridmark seems to best him at everytbing so why is he a 'Rival'. The only insight this story gave was how fast a horse could be. But even that didnt seem to convince the gang. Just seems a waste of time.

About the author

Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over a million copies worldwide.
