Fun read but the inconsistencies are getting worse. The Frostborn saga was well written with most plots/scenes having a proper explanation and is also logical (logical based on their universe). Seven swords was great as well as the 3rd saga (cant rmb the name) but the downward trend can be seen. The 4th is by far the worse. One gripping example I have is, at book 2. Gareth gained the elven shield that could deflect attacks from a priestess. After gaining his soulblade, this magic deflecting property was never mentioned again and its being used like an unbreakable shield (like the dwarven 1 gavin got in the frostborn saga). Another one would be Niara's power level. It seems to match Gareth's mom's. Yes First magistri trained by good ol gandalf himself etc etc but in the end she doesn't posses the keeper's mantle, meaning no increased stamina, faster recovey, boosted power. Don't get me started on outhealing the fire at the end verdict: good read but you have to turn off your brain
