Is there any way that this book can be added to the family library? I'm trying to get my boys into programming and do things together to make it fun.

The code in this book seems out of date. Tried using it with android studio and keep getting errors and the apps crash. For example the Simple Fragment app.

I've read about 100 pages so far (and plan to continue!). I feel like the explanations in this book are fantastic and do excellently at balancing giving a lot of information while clarifying what you should understand at that point in the book. I've taught myself other programming languages previously, and have learned that what I need to get started is an understanding of "how the software/ languages think as individuals, and how they communicate to each other" . This book feels like it's giving me that solid introduction so that I'll be able to get started and know how to search for/learn things not in this book. This book is also written with encouragement in mind, and I feel like there was a lot of effort and thought put into the perseverance of the reader.
