Hands down best book for amateur investor looking to achieve a satisfactory investment return. This book is suitable for almost all investor out there regardless of how knowledgeable you are about the market or not. This book just like the title said will guarantee you achieving a fair share of return in the market. While this book doesn't go beyond recommending you to invest in individual securities; you can make your own judgement whether to stick with the index/bonds asset allocation or venturing into the world of business valuation/stock picking. Personally for me, this book is worth every dollar and still is one of the best book that got me into starting my investing journey. Thank you, John Bogle for writing this book and creating the first index fund that put billions of dollars back into investors pocket and not fund managers pocket.

JOHN C. BOGLE is founder and former chairman of the Vanguard Group of mutual funds and President of its Bogle Financial Markets Research Center. After creating Vanguard in 1974, he served as chairman and chief executive officer until 1996 and senior chairman until 2000.
