I've read this book before while first coming to Christ. After maturing and following the Lord, Joel Osteen is a false teacher. You cannot speak things into existence, you are not God. No where in God's word does He say we can. And contextually the Hebrews passage that says, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen, that's talking about that what you believe is made evident by how you conduct your life, living in a way where you trust something to be done for you regardless of you being able to see it. Like Paul says, "Who hopes for what he can see." For us, it's the promise of Eternal Life with Christ. Osteen claims prosperity, but Jesus promises persecution and suffering. I implore you, follower of Christ, read His word and see that what I say is true, according to the word of the LORD. Joel is proclaiming idolatry, making us equals with God, saying that we can speak things into our reality. When it doesn't happen, you may have shipwrecked your faith.

Christless book written by a Christless man. The only book we have to meditate day and night is the Bible for it contains the wisdom, the knowledge, the power, the authority, the glory, the holiness of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says also that if you don't repent from your sin you'll end up in Hell; believe me, such warning you'll never hear it from Olsteen.
