About this ebook

Named one of "The 20 Greatest Ever Romance Novels According to Goodreads Reviews" by O, The Oprah Magazine

Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward--a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries. Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire that he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

This book is very terribly written and contains so much scenes similar to "50 Shades of Grey", As though it's a horrible knock off. I decided to read this because it's title was popping up everywhere in Social Media, there was so much hype that I had to read it for myself. It was almost painful to keep reading it. There was no nice flow to the writing, it just kept getting more unrelated, like the author was throwing in everything she could to make it good. It's her first book and it definitely shows.

I can't imagine any woman or anyone for that matter, finding this book worth the time of reading it. When I read it, all I thought about was the warning signs I was taught about bad relationships. Everything I've ever learned, was in this book. Alarm bells kept going off in my head. I kept thinking this is not a healthy relationship. Sex can not fix everything.!! The lead character Jesse, was beyond controlling. I don't know any woman who would find his antics appealing. The constant phone calls and text messages. Wanting someone to quit their job just so they can spend time with you. Getting jealous of EVERYONE. Straight, GAY. It was annoying.

The way the characters acted was too much. I pictured them to be in their early 20s with their childish, hurtful acts. I didn't like how Jesse suffered a prolong binge drinking for days and Ava was taking forever to get him water and feed him which was the human thing to do. Instead she runs him a bath and about to run off again. The sex was awesome and the comedy that Jesse said. wish Ava wasn't bratty and Jesse wasn't so ugly with his wife beating ways. It was a toxic relationship.
