The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Dresden Files formula hasn't changed, as many have decreed that all the books are the same, but that's what I love about them! You don't fix something that isn't broken.

While this is not my favorite Dresden book, this is where Jim kicks it up another notch. There are multiple developments that come to light and the plot twists from each prior book add to the story. And it just keeps getting better.

I love the whole Dresden Files series. Butcher is a brilliant writer to come up with such a fascinating character. The story lines are good, too, but, for me, it's the characters that pull me in.
