Ratings and reviews

The prose drags and stumbles, there are typos and incorrect use of ellipses. Clichés abound and Poppy's inner monologue is very boring to read. The smut is good, but that's about it. The book is about 200 pages too long. The beginning drags beyond the midpoint of the book. It suffices to say that indeed, I did not enjoy the book. Seek this one out at your own peril.

Great storyline. Hard to keep interest when you fall into so many paragraphs of inner monologue about self doubt. I feel like the author took so much time going into detail about the same things and left out details that could of really captured you into the book instead of angsty scenes here and there to suffice you. But overall yeah I give it 4/5 stars.

the story is compelling however I feel like it could have been executed better in the first novel. the plot twists could been seen from a mile away. and the heroines monologs were often redundant and long.
